It’s that time of year , maybe you have been pushing personal running goals all year and you are ready to settle in and run for the love of running, and looking at “building your base”

A running base is like the foundation of a house in that is supports the demands of progressive kilometres  and intensity that comes with a training plan. It is the bridge that gaps your racing seasons together and prepares your body and mind for the harder efforts during training and racing in future seasons.

If you’re a seasoned runner, your base can include mostly easy-effort running with some harder efforts like hills, tempo runs, and fartlek workouts sprinkled in. You are looking for consistent running with no pressure of a training plan. Instead off aiming for a particular number of kilometres a week your focus now switches to loving to run 3 times a week with a motivating group!

In this group you can place yourself in our various groups and paces we provide at Sisters in Fitness. Whether it is Learn to Run 2 or Intermediate the love of running is always your focus for you this session.

Our social running activators are on bust this session, running buddy love suite shines this session!

Runs are Tuesday, Wednesday 6:30 pm and Saturday 8:30 am with various distance or “time on feet” options always offered.

  • Tuesday 6:30pm – Hills/Tempo Training (all levels) Locations CBS, Mount Pearl, & Paradise.
  • Wednesday 6:30pm – Paradise & Conception Bay South
  • Saturday 8:30am – A variety of beautiful routes throughout St. John’s, Mount Pearl, Paradise & CBS. New Route each week!
